Typical completion timeline:
Most students finish the core program in 8 to 12 weeks while maintaining full-time employment. Some complete it faster. There is no penalty for taking longer.
The recommended path:
We suggest completing the core tax preparation and legal compliance modules before tax season begins (January 15). The business formation and marketing modules can run in parallel. By the time your PTIN is active and your EFIN is approved, you’ll be ready to accept clients.
